54 Plate

Just a quick question,as im on the other side of the pond im not well up on your registration numbers.
Im looking at a van in the UK and its a 2005 (54) plate but theres one next to it which is a 2004 (54) plate?
Forgive im stoopid :O :lol: Does it mean it was registered in 2004?

The 54 plate lasted between 1st september 2004 and 1st march 2005 so could be both.

Our new registrations are every 6 months, September to March, March to September.

So a 2005 (54) will be registered inbetween January-March. Where the 2004 (54) would of been registered from September-December.
