97' N15 SRi (no work done)

Hello everyone, Karlito here. I mentioned in a recent post that i will upload some pictures of my 'Mera' SRi, now i have only owned the car for about a week now but i must say they are amazing, the car was advertised for £295 ono with 117,000 miles on the clock with part service history, the only downside is that there is some corrosion in the usual places (wheel arches, rear wiper arm etc) but that didnt put me off, after a quick test drive and finding out how well these things handle i offerd him £250 CASH and he accepted. Big smile on my face lol :D

I have got some great plans for this car but any thoughts, idea's opinions on the car would be brilliant.

JUST NEED TO SORT THE DREADED RUST! lol

Welcome fella, got some load of rust there boy...rust is not cool...so better do that first mod it later.
Anyway paint the rims matte black, mby a nice grille, rub the engine...damn thats a mess. (My eyes hurt)
Lower it, and mby a splitter under the front bumper. Depends on you...
Would also straighten the boot lid with the rest...and would put the licence nubmer on the bumper...oh do I see a dick comming from under the bumper :P...ye and the exhaust ofc....Anyways It's good

Hi Karl, looks nice and for the money you cant go wrong. As said, you need to get that rot sorted asap otherwise it'll destroy the car. I wouldnt worry about the bootlid as you could easily find a replacement with no rust and swap the lock barrels over :) I think stufagti had a black GTi he was breaking so why not try him?
All the best with your new car.

as above, get the rust sorted first, it only gets worse. lose the caravan attachment lol look out for a gti bodykit, easy fitting but big change of looks and the only other thing i would say is dont go too mad with crazy bonnets and massive fibreglass bodykits, im not an expert by any means but alot of the guys on here will help you alot. iv just bought a black gti myself, to be fair cleaner then yours but they all rust so dont be downhearted with that and you seem chuffed with it! goodluck with it.

Thanks to you all for your advice, dont worry ive already started work on that towbar lol, Any ideas on how much the GTi Kit would cost? I will keep posting pictures as more work with it is continued. Nice one.
