'98 GTi wiper.

My front wiper motor is dying on me, '98 Mera GTi. Anyone know what newer models use the same motor?
And how do you remove it?

quick guess.

pop the little plastics off the wiper arms and remove using a socket (17 i think) then pull it as the wiper is held in on a spline.

then remove the plastic surrounding the wind screen

then your motor should be there underneath the plastic

and heres a replacement

no need to remove wipers

remove the passenger side suttle panel to access the linkage on the motor

remove the bolts holding it to the bulkhead 10mm i think and unplug the wiring loom and pop the linkage of the motor.

any n15 almera should fit

Fail, actual motor is in the engine bay

right above the strut bace mount on the right hand side, with 3 bolts through the bulk head

As said above, in the engine bay. Also try taking it apart and cleaning out then adding clean grease (not to much). You might find that the old grease has become so dirty that the cogs that the motor uses can't turn effectively.
