A few problems with our Tino!

Hello, we own an 05 Almera SVE, an 05 Almera SVE and my trusty Nissan 100NX.

The Tino has an incredibly low mileage and looks great too but it has developed two big problems.

Firstly water in the front passenger well. Not from the roof it only floods when it is driven on a moderately wet road. Standing it remains dry.

Second is even more annoying, suddenly it drains its battery over a few days. Brand new Bosch battery hasn't solved the problem. If starts perfectly off jump leads. Seems to have some kind of short when standing. Has any other Tino owner had this problem? Obviously it has to be in the circuit that isn't controlled by the ignition switch.

Not many Tino's here I'm afraid but never the less, let's see......

The leak is most likely dude to a rubber bung that's missing on the bulkhead or some damage/rust.

As for the battery you've most likely got a drain from somewhere.

Try investigate the car for a dodgy earth. Clean up all the negative connections from the battery to the chassis and from the engine also.

It could be a light left on (the boot's a common one) or an aftermarket stereo too.

If you have a multimeter you can check for a drain, try this:
