Spotted these two lately:

T99 UPS (i think) - 16/Jul Abdn Beach (Sunday Night)
Red phase 1, open grille, tints, black 6 or 7 spoke alloys. Could be a GTi, but looks too new to be a phase 1 GTi and without the black masked headlights, I think its maybe a 1.4

Black GTi - 18/Jul on way into Peterhead (Tues Night)
Phase 1, nice big Impreza style fog lamps attached over the place of the OE foglamps - subtle :rolleyes:
apart from that, fairly standard, sure ive seen it going about other places, always looks like its on a mission (i.e being cained)
 
hah yea was about to post about the red one with black wheels. Woke up at my girlfriends flat to see this parked outside the kitchen window this morning... quite nice... full ph2 gti kit on it. Think it must be new in town
 
Yeah it is nice, first time id seen it was sunday. My mate text me the other day about it as well, i dont think its a gti though, though i cant remember exactly what the front looked like, im sure it didnt have the gti headlights.
 
The black GTi would be me! Was on the way to watch the girlfriends son play football. But don't think you would've seen me much before, I only moved up this way 3 months ago and don't tend to cain it in places I don't know. As for it being fairly standard, you're right apart from the ss exhaust and then little things like K&N filter, single wiper and clear repeaters. Would've done more to it but needed a new engine (oil pump failed, not my fault!) which cost £1200... And can't lower it cos the amount of steep inclines around here and don't wanna scrape it like I've done a couple of times already (once in Aberdeen).
Seeing this thread reminded me that I saw a trop green phase 1 si (i think) pulled by police. The guy/girl was taken away cos the car was still there when I was coming out of Peterhead about 2 hours later. Anyone wanna own up???
Anyway Alan, if you're going to Dundee for the mini meet on 13th August, you'll see if it was me or not.
 
Ah! Yeah I remember you saying before that you were gonna be up in MacDuff around new year time, I didnt realise you'd now moved up. Have you ever been to New Deer at all? As im sure I was passed by a rather fast black almera once when I was about 2 miles out of there. The car I saw going into Peterhead just reminded me of that one so I assumed it was the same! Maybe it was the noise of the exhaust that made me think it was going fast - sorry!
I also saw the trop green p1 as well! I passed it going up to ASDA at lunch, probably done for speeding I'd imagine, theres alot of speed cops around this area.
I know what you mean about scraping as well, with a passenger, my car catches on speed bumps alot, and farm tracks are out of the question completely.
I will try and get down to Dundee on 13th August
