ABS light

hi people
since getting my vzr 3 weeks ago the abs light has appreared a few times
sometimes when i start her and other times it appears whilst driving

any ideas what the cause could be
its not low on break fluid and the brakes are working perfect!!

I have just had a spell of this, which has now cleaned up completely, much to my relief.
I thought I was going to have a big bill for a new sensor...
A lot of the time, the sensor or ABS ring (?) gets dirty, which can cause the light to flash.
Mine cured itself after driving through a ford, although I`m pretty sure removing the wheel and CVs, then giving the ABS ring a clean might well sort this out.

I had this on mine so took it for a diagnostic somewhere and they told me it was the N/S front sensor - replaces this (finally) and all seems fine now. If it's on when you have your MOT it wont pass.

The sensor heads are magnetic and can pick up dirt etc,take them out and clean them,check the wires for damage etc.

The ABS light should come on when you turn the ign on or start the car for about 2-3 secs. If it stay on for longer than this but goes out when you get over 12mph you will probably have a fault on the system some where.

Does it flash or just stay lit ?

its stays on..and sometimes itl appear after a while of driving...

Sounds like you have a sensor fault rather than a ring fault ( oh ah missus ! )
