ABS Problem

Hey i got a GTI SR2De Almera. and my problem is that my ABS light is always on , and the owner told me he got this happening just ½ year ago , and i wonder what the error could be, before anyone says anything ive changed the "fuse " and used a computer on the car and all i get is " ABNORMAL VOLTAGE " on the error note , does anoyne have smimilar experience with this ? and if they may know what the cause may be =? im dying to fix my abs before winter, but it seems like i cant figure out what the problem is :( cheers for any feedback

The wiring can get damaged near the front dampers.

I would take it to a good auto-electrician like I did and he hooked it up to his hand held comoputer and drover it 50 yards and immediately came up with 1 sensor reading different speed to the rest. If you go the second hand route when replacing a sensor then I recommend buying a hub and doing the whole lot as you cant get the sensor out without buggering it as they corrode in.

Look under your car for a wire hanging from your gear box, i had a new gear box fitted and the wire wasn't clipped in, the abs light was on, clipped it back in and all was well!!
