acceleration trouble

my nissan starts then after 5 mins it won't accelerate even when i put pedal to floor it wont go over 1000 rpm got diagnostics put on it came up with cam sensors so i changed them both still the same so i changed plugs and oil and air filter also oil change and cleaned the throttle body but to no avail still the same any ideas would be great hope its not the timing chain the car only has 56000 on the clock and is in mint condition.

Assuming its a 1.5 your timing chain has stretched.

if its this is there a way to tension it or is it a case of new chain.

As the chain stretches the tensioner takes up the slack. Its when you reach the limit of the tensioner that you start to get serious symptoms. Thus there's no more tensioning to be done! So yeah, new chain.

It looks like I am having to do the same thing and change the chain.Any recommendations?

i got my timing chain replaced and the car is running great it cost me £400 total after shopping around thanks for all the input.
