last night I finally quit the golf GTi after ten years and bought a 99' Almera GTi.

Its good to see that there is a forum of people keen on the cars, there are loads of VW ones but I didnt expect an almera dedicated one.

Pictures as soon as I work out how to post them, I will have a few questions as the car needs some bits sorting.

I have driven it about 100 miles and I love it already, I drove it back to back with my old Mk3 GTi 16v, it pains me to say it, but the almera is a much more complete car.

Speak to you all soon

Arse End.

So my first question is does anyone know the prices for a GTI front bumper and the foglights to match as they are obviously missing from my car? or if these parts are very expensive is there an aftermarket bumper that looks good?

Any help would be appreciated.

Daz,

I am actually nearer swindon than Oxford, but I try not to admit it. I do spenda lot of time in Oxford though.

Took a chance on the car on the internet, needed a quick solution as my golf is dying rapidly, chose between Almera or Corolla G6, made the right choice I think.

dont blame you mate! ,

i see that car, he was offering it on here not so long back.
i thought someone might get a bargain there if they didn't mind the bumper grille and light.

apart from the bumper its in really good nick, done 53K backed up by paperwork, definately worth spending a few quid on to sort the bumper.he has already lowered it a little on Eibach springs and new shocks and fitted a K&N cone filter, although I will probably put this back to the standard airbox.

Also the remote fobs need sorting looks like this might be an expensive job.

car does look clean. are you in the thames valley area .
i do hope your not ignoring the hose pipe ban! :D

Insurance is my main problem atm they want another £100 for any thing i do on the car
alloys £100+
Tinted windows £100+
Spoiler £100+

I think to myself is there any point ??? rather save up money and get a GTi :) or something similar :)
thx any way :)

I can spot None GTi side lamp (driver side)
none GTi Head light (driver side)
None GTi Front Body Kit (just a standard P2 Kit)
Phase 1 Grill

Where abouts near Swindon are you?

I might have a spare phase 2 grille lying about as I have a different grille on my car...

hiya mate and welcome hope you manages to get stuff cheap loks like you need.
phase 2 front bumper including fogs
phase 2 grill
phase 2 drivers side light and indicator (the ones with the black surrounds).
non of which is easy to get hold of though possiable.
there are a few people woth the ASP front bumper i dont think it looks to bad but prefer the real GTi bumper.
