alarm remote fob info required

Hi all

My 98 GTi Ph1 I bought is also missing all remotes inc. master fob.
I have been to two Nissan and am no further to knowing more.

I purchased the oval style with two buttons one top red one and one bottom black button. Code 5WK4 782 freq 418 mhz

Took it to Nissan after trying to do it myself. They informed me that I had the wrong fob.

I have checked and I do have all the relevant alarm module box under the ashtray, the sensitivity controller under the handbrake and the siron in the engine bay.

Can firstly people tell what fobs they have for their GTi's. Pictures would be great as well.

Does anyone know if purchasing one of these (not the one mentioned above) can be programmed to car without the master fob.

Also is there a do it yourself programming guide like the one for this mystery fob!!

Any information would be fantastic, regards.
 
You need a master fob, this only comes with a new ACU ( alarm control unit) The fobs you need have 2 square buttons, one red and one blue.
The red and black buttons fobs are used on late phase 3 N15 but not the GTI Model.
 
and a New Alarm Control Unit from Nissan is about £300! I decided to get a clifford when this happened to me!

Think they were ripping you off, A new ACU with master fob is £101 inc vat.

Have you got part number of the above because I have all sorts of difficulty getting the correct replacement fob for my gti. regards.
