Alarm woes

Hello ladies and gents!

I'm posting on behalf of a relative. The car in question is a 2001 Almera.

The alarm won't deactivate via the keyfob. The car starts, but with the inconvenience of the alarm siren going off, which we want to stop. I found this link http://www.ehow.com/how_6497322_disable-nissan-almera-alarm.html
to disable the alarm.

I just was worried about the immobiliser locking up and the car not being able to start?

My question is would it be ok to take the alarm fuse out and unlock the car with the key?

The alarm is separate to the immobiliser so you should be fine doing this.

Although We've just tried this, and I think the fix is actually for the older Almera.

Is there a guide on here for the later Almera to disable the alarm ?
