Looking for 17" alloys & have come to a problem between pricing & appeal. just wonderin which out of these 3 , ud go for , or if none , the name of one you would go for (budget upto £180 per wheel). Bearing in mind , the cars a dark purple with phase 2 GTi kit & lowerd.

MVK 3

Oxigin 1

Super Turismo

Have to say im currently looking more towards the turismo's than any other

in my opinion, i wouldn't go for the top 2, i don think they would suit the Mera, i would probably go for the bottom one.....
only advice i would give is......do not rush into buying them straight away. Have a really really good look around.
i rushed into buying mine, wish i didn't now
i wanted the Khan RSS in 18's, so off i went to Xtreme with £1300 to get the bitches "sorry, they dont make them in your fitament"
so i bought the ones i have now, only cause i liked the center caps :o
only to find out the next day that the ones they ordered were 4x114, and the N15's are 4x100
to cut this sorta long story short, i coulda had the Kahn RSS's in 18's :(
Xtreme = C**TS
anyway, have a real good look around, thats all i am saying ;)

Kinda agree with the top 2.. , kept looking @ them then at the car outside and thinking .... "nah". Nice alloys.. , just wouldnt suit it. Gonna try convince the lad im buyin em off (lad up here that repairs/builds alloys) to let me try different wheels on the car before buying to make sure it looks like what im after.

Wouldnt mind These. 19" , £650 per wheel though

I like the top two actually. Best bet would be to do a photoshop on them.
Got a photo of your car side on? I'll have a go for you if you want.

If you go with the oz your car will look like this.

Will stick a pic up once its painted lol. Its currently in dark green with the GTI kit in black. Just to add special flavour aswell , the factory spec steel wheels on have even had the hub caps removed

I like :D... alot actually

BTW it wont look exactly like that cos the black respray will cost a bit more on top but its just an idea! :)

ok, you're right about the top two.
Don't think they suite the mera. Looks like they should be on a BMW, A3 or an Mk3 Astra.....

i rekon 1 of the top 2 as in option 3 you'll see a lot more 'meras with that style of wheel. no offence to any one with those style wheels btw just my 2p :)

I've seen one of the top two sets on a black Phase 1 GTi (not sure which ones as they both look the same). IMO they really suited it. I say go for one of the top ones but don't come to Gloucester as you'll see em on another almera!

Aint really fussed about it having similar wheels to any other almera as im simply after what ill think will suit the rest of the car the best as an improvement.

besides it will be different enough in a non factory spec Midnight Purple II along with Silver vinyl artwork (cant have it painted on as i do plan on selling this some day).

Reason why i posted both MVK & Oxigin ones by the way even though they look the same , is because the MVK's are £134 each , while the Oxigins are £150 lol. The Oxigins look more umm i dunno , just more of it :D. Still impressed with the Turismos though after see'ing AJA's

The importance of being ordidary

Yeah - i see hundreds of black phase 1's with multispokes on my way to work every day it really gets on my tits - why cant i be special???!!!

Oh did i say hundreds? Sorry thats actually none in 7 months of ownership :p And only one black one and that was big al's.

Go for steel ones with shitty trims mate and colour them with a black marker pen - then you'll be different?

i love the Oz Superturismo. Thinking of getting them myself when i get the money!

I like the ones mark has photoshopped on, look quite cool, dont really like multispokes when theres too many spokes, look complicated and messy, reckon 10's about my limit for spokes, each to their own though I supppose

After see'ing the bloke who im gettin em off, i found out he cant get MVK or Oxigin wheels. So it looks like a set of 17" OZ Super T's with 255 Hancook tyres & locking nuts for £650 , might not be what i was after altogether but it will still do the job & be about £400 less.

I just liked the lightness and race car look like of wrc or btcc they give to ur motor rather than the "Jap streetracing" look. They are suicidle to clean though you dont realize how much of a ballache they are untill youve had a set.

I know what you mean about cleaning them, when i got my first set of alloys for mine they were wolfrace urban racer 7's when they first came out, the back 2 tires kept going down all the time, stuck them in the bath to see where the air was coming out(coz I checked the tires for signs of anything in them) and the alloys were porous  had to send them back and wait 2 months for another 2, while i was waiting i had to borrow 2 stilauto multispoke wheels, about 17 spokes or sumat, what a nightmare to clean, had them 2 on one side, and 2 urban 7's on the other, looked canny in a strange way :o
