alloy size help

i have 17 inch on the car at the mo but they need a referb which i cant justify so thinking of buying another set so the question is will 18 inch fit and if so with what tyre size.

I wouldnt put 18's on that, will look like its on stilts.

18s would fit, with the right tyres, something like profile 40s

But would look utter shit...unless its slammed on them

n15's look the shizzle on 16's i reckon

17's! somtimes 16's look too small in my opinion

18's will fit perfect if you have coilovers.. 205/40/18 tyres and coilovers would look fine.. but only on a gti on anything else will look stupid.
