Hi I have just bought a lovely used Almera, a 02 1.8SE saloon it has 16,300 miles on the clock all verified and checked, it's basically a new car, looks and drives like one with 3 service stamps in the book.
Will be looking to increase acceleration and power, i have researched that they respond well to a remap, full sports system and induction kit or performance air filter.
My question is what can i look to spend on that and how much gains will i get, all advice is much appreciated.

There was a supercharger kit for sale on here a while back, you never know, it might still be for sale.
 
hi edk, read that on torquecars.com, not sure if they were refering to the hatchback or not. But do you think upgrades like that would work well, what could i expect to pay and what results would i get. Cheers.
 
I don't think you'll feel much difference tbh. Those engines were built for economy, and low down torques. At least, for the cost I don't think you'll see many gains. Some engines do respond well to those mods, but the QG isn't one of them.
