I have just purchased the following CD player from lowcostcaraudio.co.uk

The connector is a normal ISO connector found here:

I took my Almera factory radio out and noticed that it has a different type of connector. The connector looks like this:

I was wondering if this is the convertor I need and what it is called?

Any suggessions?

Thanks

you could probably bring in the hu to halfords or some place like that and they'll defo give you the right one, its not worth the hassle of buying off the net, waitin a few days and then having to return it if its the wrong one!

they sell the conversion kits in halfords, cost me about £12. easy to fit just put between original connector and your new unit

Thanks for all the info guys. One main concern I have is that the factory connector in my Almera looks bigger than the slot for the convertor?

Is the smaller connection needed???

Also, how do you disconnect the original factory cables from the factory radio as I was really pulling and it wouldn't budge, there were clips but they didn't seem to do anything. I didn't want to force it incase I broke it.

Thanks
