almera gti exhausts

Hello i am a newbie i have only had an almera since yesterday........

i cant find any stainless steel cat back exhausts on the internet, can anyone give me any help i also want to find out where to get shocks and springs, i can find springs but the shocks dont seem to be available.
plus what is the best thing you can do to the airbox without spending loads of money or hacking anything up to much, im open to drilling it out but i dont want anything to screw up and not be able to put it back to standard.
cheers

Welcom Glyn.

KYB Gold are one of the best fixed rate dampers available (imo) and are'nt expensive.

If you are quick and sign up for full membership there is a coilover group buy going on (you might just of missed the cut tho!)

K+N, Pipercross and Apexi do a replacement panel filter but there are loads of induction kits available.

Go for a Janspeed system dude, either that or get one made!

dril the lower part of the air box, did this on mine, ive got a stanard air box if you want one to cut up, or can drill it for you if ya intrested

Yeah it would be good to have a spare how much cash do you want to send it to me ?,
Since you drilled it have you noticed any problems with it at all, ie overheating iffy idle, and when you did it, did you disconnect the battery at all to get the ecu to go to learn mode?

custom made is the way forward for the cat back buddy, but will cost abit, but at least you will no its been done properly..

look for mundrel bent custom bulid!!... i used powerspeed in kent but that might be abit far from you....

mandrel bent ;)

you wont notice any physical changes from drilling the air box, maybe a bit more noise...

Air box

I have now drilled a load of 25mm holes in the air box below the filter and it sounds amazing, much more fun to drive with the sweet roar. Thanks for your advise.
i am going to get a performance replacement filter for it. once that is done i will want the exhaust, power wise what would be better going for a ss cat back system, or for less money a cat bypass pipe and a universal back box.
also what would be the best universal back box to get i want it to sound nice but not so loud that you cant cruise quietly.

thanks
Glyn

custom is the way foreward for a cat back coupled with a fanimold from ebay, if you put a decat in with a standard manifold and catback it will have a negative effect
