almera gti.. new

hi there my names aaron im 20 from kent. im on the lookout for an almera gti as my next car currently i have a honda civic 1.5ils ek3 and to be honest its not a bad car just a tad astmhatic... before that i had a toyota mr2 rev4 which had been fiddled with and previous to that a toyota corolla for my first car.. you can see a pattern here. i love jap cars!.

my question is can i find a half decent one for around £800? im in need of a cheap ish runaround for the summer and more likely long term with a bit of poke and ive always like the look of the gti. especially lowered and on some nice wheels..

welcome mate, i'm also 20 and managed to pick up a pretty decent Gti for £700 , only cosmetic damage, paint flaking ,and bird shit stains on the roof but i'm getting that done in a few months!

yeah man youll get a good phase 1 gti, non body kit for about 6-700 then leaves you 1-200 too fiddle with it some

Hi welcome.
You should be able to find a decent one for £800, try autotrader or the for sale section here.

Piston heads is another good place to find decent ones, unlike autotrader you cant select engine size etc so go thro it but there are GTi's in there.

Wouldnt worry about high milage the SR20 can easily do 120,000 plus without ever giving a problem as long as its looked after, servicing etc.
Youll prob find the higher priced ones have lower milage, depends what you want and how far you want to go.

thanks for the welcome people! im still looking about, may stretch the little budget i have slightly to get a decent one... i used to have 98mr2 gt tbar with a blueflame system apexi filter and piping, how pokey do you all think the almera will feel compared to the mr2?. not that im after something to thrash everywhere. iim just curious..
