Guys,

I have scanned in the entire Almera GTi review from Autocar Magazine july 1996. My intention was to put a link up here so that you could all see em. I tried photobucket.com to host them, but the pics get reduced in quality too much to read!

There are 6 pages, about 600k each, is there anybody that would be prepared to host them for me somewhere that would keep the quality?

Much obliged!

email or PM me and i'll get em emailed across to you! Cheers!

Cheers,

But the quality seems to be lost when trying to view them when in an album.

How do i keep the quality?

K.

hmmm not sure, unless the site's are auto re-sizing etc.. to save web space ?
if you e-mail me the pics i can host them on my car domain site to see if they're any better ?

try car domain. dont know the limit but i scanned in photos and it didnt say anything about size problems and i got about 8+ pictures on there

either that, or make them into a pdf. if you want to email me the piccys, I'll make 'em into a pdf and post it back up here for you...(probably make the file size a hell of a lot smaller too)

send them to my works address (as they wont all fit in my hotmail :D )

tmacartney at bibby-sterilin dot com

(replace the at with @ and the dot with . (obviously :D )
(dont want them nasty spammers finding my works address  )

Cheers guys,

I think that i'll just email them to all three of you as you all seem to have good solutions!

will take to work tomorrow and do it from there as i think they'd kill my hotmail account!

cheers!

Do you have the "Long Term Test" from 1998 or the "0-100-0mph" test in 1997?

hmm kinda mixed review eh?

ps was he on drugs regarding the brakes! mine are terrible christ my 1.6 primera outbrakes it comfortably!

agree with the wet weather handling tho does tend to become unruly far too early compared to my previous motors

is that right tho did they only make 500 a year?

if so how many GTi's did they actually make?

Just found this again and read it properly.

"its destined to become a car for a small number of car enthusiasts who place the importance of dynamics over everthing else"

Sums us and the GTi up nicely.

Nice one for scanning that in.

But 50 litre tank? So does the petrol warning light come on with about 12 litres left?

Seems like the type of review i expected, although i think its styling is quite nice! maybe it wasnt considered nice at the time, but its come into its own now?

Yeah, seems sad seeing it brand new, cant imagine what state its in now.

When searching on the net 3 years ago I tracked down a picture of my car when it was brand new with it's original owner. The guy had partially obscured the reg. plate, but I could make out my reg number from it.

Pleased to say 9 years later, it's still going strong and still in good nick!

Please note that is not me in the pic!
