Almera N16 Headlight Replacement

I need to replace the offside headlight as it is cracked, taking in water and turning green - a certain MOT failure at the end of the month.

I know it is a simple job - remove indicator from rear using silver clip and withdraw before the headlight. The car has electric adjustable headlights.

Is there anything I need to do to make sure the new headlight is aligned with the nearside (i.e. both at positioin 2 for example) or will they align themselves on their own. Finally, do I still need to get the beam/aim checked at a garage?

Thanks
