Almera- primera cats

Just wondering if the cats are the same or the spacing in the exhust is the same, because i have just took a risk and brought a janspeed de-cat pipe that was off a primera GT?

yeah they will be the same, i believe most 90's nissans shared the same cat.

although they are different part no's.

but im sure it will fit
 
I think that most Nissan Cats were the same, all apart from some primera's so i'd do some more research just incase.
 
i found the other day the K11 micra had two different sizes...

and the cat off garnz GTi didn't fit my car for some reason, mm's too short.

you sure mate?! not being patronising - i'm sure you did but just in case - did you actually put the bolts through and try tightenin em right up? or just hold the cat up to it? :P

cos they always look too short but tightening it up brings the whole system tight and pulls it up into place

i was sure they're the same that's all? :confused:
 
I had a GTi decat pipe fitted to my SRi.. But I did have a GTi catback pipe.
Saying that I think I had the GTi catback on with the original cat still in place..
I'm sure they're compatible anyway boys, if there is a difference, its millimeters.

yeah i started bolting it up and got it as tight at it would go, started the engine and it sounded like it had a bad cough. (there was gaskets)

it probly had something to do with me tbh... i'd been lay on that concrete floor for 2 days at that point and was beyond pissed off...

speaking of decat... where my package from jetex at!
 
I hope this de-cat will fit because i brought it off the bloke on friday i havent measured it or anything which i guess i should of but i will try and make it fit if it dont!

looks ok but untill its up there i dont know, if anything it would be too long.
 
the decat on my 92 primera was bought by truganni on here to use on his almera GTi.

sure its meant to be about 15mm difference in some primera cats, although im sure someone said its the same part number from a 1.0 micra to a skyline GTR, which is why there not that restrictive anyway.
 
Yeah some early nissan have slightly longer cats.

The best decats are the US ebay sentra test pipes. Proper stainless. 2.5" outlets and superb build quality.....mines still shiny after 3 yrs.
