Almera SVE Auto 1.8 - Gearbox losing oil

Just found this forum, looks like it's going to be useful.

I have a problem as follows:

The gearbox is losing oil rapidly, it seems to be coming out around the base of the front radiator. But I can't find any split hoses or holes is there anything I should be looking for, i.e. under the rad?

there is a possibility that it may use part of the rad as a fluid cooler, as i believe some toyotas use this method. cant help any more sorry but im just throwing it out there as an option!
 
has it ever had the clutch replaced?

could be a leaking shaft seal. mine leaks and it throws gearbox oil over EVERYTHING
 
on the box were the dpstik bit comes down!

there is a metal pipe that comes from the base of it!

this then flows out to a rubber pipe and has a jubileee clip to join them

itll be split there!

ill try dig out a picture

just to say aswell the picture is the 1.8 auto box so should not differ in ANY WAY

Thanks for all the replies, have managed to remove the rubber hose, it has some delamination at the rad end where the leak seems to be, so just ordered a new one. hopefully this will be the easy fix!
