hi there - I wondered if anyone could help me.
A few months back my CD player broke and I was quoted £250 (yikes!!) by a Nissan garage to get it replaced.
So I bought a 2nd hand one from eBay and took it to an independent garage this morning to have it installed.
A yellow box came up with the word SECURED. I read around the internet and know that a code needs adding in but it has to be the original code of the car it was originally installed in, which I don't have.
There are websites which claim they can unlock the code if you add in the serial number that's on the CD/Radio. Is this true? I also can't work out where you enter the code, somewhere said you have to leave the car running for an hour - is this true?
I also phoned the original Nissan garage and they said that it has to be done a different way, through the battery / engine or something.
Cheers in advance for any help
