hi guys and girls


i have got a problem with my autech pulsar every time i excelerate inthird, forth and fifth
gears i get this push pull sensation like there is a miss somewere in the engine now its been there for a month or so and has only started since i have had my new muffler put on would this have any restriction at all or am i looking more internal with the engine or maybe something to do with the fuel any help or ideas on what it could be would be great

try leaving your battery disconnected over night so that when u put the battery back on it will read the new mods and maybe slighty adjust to the new setting have a go!
 
yeah i have tryed that but no joy it only does it when on the excelerating in those three gears down low its fine

If you only got a back box put on that wouldn't cause that.Is it like a flat spot and does it only happen around certain revs and in those gears???
Do a self diagnostic and see what code shows up!

yeah it is like a flat spot it only does it in those gears and the rev range is anywere between 4000rpm and 7000rpm


can you explain the self diagnostics a bit better and how i would go about doing this please as i have never done it before

Alright mate im new here looking for help with what sounds like the same problem you have on an N15 Gti it happens about 5000rpm in second on mine feels like a flat spot then its accelerates like normal again!!!, can you shed any light if yours is sorted now. Thanks

P.S - the car has 90000 on it and i don't think she's been serviced for a while.
 
Evilnissan thats the exact same problem ive had when running the car on normal 95 unleaded. i run it on super unleaded 99 now and its fine.
 
I was just thinking that........it only does in high load, open throttle situations.....ie in high gears. The ecu is probably retarding the timing, giving a lack of power.
 
Mine's started doing this now, all I've done is put the HKS filter on, I do need a cold air feed. Would that be why? It's had everything changed and pulls like a train in all the gears when you floor it, just in 5th at 70mph when you use the throttle lightly it's a bit hesitant, then when you add a little more throttle it goes back to normal...?
 
Mine does this only sometimes and i always put it down to using 95ron when super-unleaded can`t be found.
 
If it still does it with the standard airbox on, it might be normal. Im not sure if this is related but Im thinking the problems Ive had with mine are down to the crank pulley slipping. The outer track that drives the alternator has detached itself from the shaft and doesnt always drive the belt. Im pretty sure this was causing the problems you are having. It was intially in higher gears and lower RPMs but now its through most of the rev range and any gear, hence why Im on the lookout for another pulley.
 
Well it's started doing it with the HKS induction kit, I always use 99RON, which I have no problem with, only since adding the HKS has this started. Fooking cars! :evil:
