anybody doing anything this weekend? fancy fitting a flywheel and gearbox this weekend??? i will help but i wouldnt know where to start!! syms? or anybody else??
 
really, it requires a ramp so you can stand underneath to undo some bolts, as some are quite tricky when you're on your back (never done an almera one), and then you have to drop it out, and if the car aint high enough, you mightn't get it out at all, but it is a 2 man job, as some gearboxes are very heavy

i have worked on a fiat bravo, and with axle stands, it managed to slip out but it was akward to get to, you had to remove loads of crap in the way lol
 
mmm i was thinking that it would be a pain in the arse like!! ive got it booked in next week like, just want it done now :mad:

nonsense, i replaced my engine on my drive :P :D lol. just jack it up high enough.

your right though it is a 2 man job, and a compressor would be a very handy tool indeed ;)
 
haha i think id be giving you a hand like passing a spanner and a fag i wouldnt have clue mate! id pay you good money tho!
