Right, car review time. I spent about 20 mins with it and didnt have time to drive it so can't comment on that side of things. I'm uploading the pictures and a couple of movies now.
The garage is a bit of a dodgy back-street affair really, I had a look around the car for a good ten minutes and no-one batted an eyelid even though I was taking lots of pictures of it. I went in the office and asked for the keys and they just gave me them, I could have driven off in it had I been that way inclined!
Anyway, I digress. the car itself isn't that bad. There are some bad bits but most of all, its a nice enough car, IF you can get it cheap enough. If you're looking for a mint one, this aint it.
The bodywork is in good nick, the paint less so. There are swirls and light scratches over it, but nothing that a lot of elbow grease and polish wouldnt sort. There are a few blemishes which i've taken close ups of. The worst of which is a stone dent above the drivers headlight. It's very deep but I suppose you could whack some filler over it and spray it. There is a weird one on the near side just before the rear light, looks like it may have been touched up at some point (above the top right of the petrol cap in the pics). Also, there is a few scratches on the drivers side skirt, but my car has these also. Also they have chopped a hole out of the splitter for the tow bar
Rust: There is some rust on the near side arch, one bit has cracked though the paint, and some other bits are visible. No other arches seem to be affected which is good. The only other worrying bit of rust is on the underside of the bonnet. It's getting really quite bad under there and I would probably rub it all down and get it sorted. Other than that, spot on.
The interior is also mint, didnt see any fag burns or tears, everything looked quite clean and still has the original gearknob. Only issue was the damage to the drivers door card in the place most of them go.
Engine: Took a couple of movies of the engine and exhaust. The engine was clap cold when I started it, it struggled only very slightly then started no probs. Could need a starter in the distant future. It was a little bit tappy but nothing i'd be worried about. seemed to rev ok. Only mod is that stupid halfords air filter. The engine bay is very dirty though and could do with a clean!
The exhaust looks like the original one to me, or a proper replacement. This may need sorting as, although you can't really hear it on the vid, there is a weird vibration coming from it. Was in my work clothes so wasnt about to get on my knees and have a look, but did the best i could with the vid. It would probably need changing sooner rather than later.
One big issue is the lack of NATS fobs, there is only a key although the central locking does work off this. I'd probably want to get an aftermarket alarm put it to work it off the fobs.
Oh, and it's up for 1495, which is faaaar too much. I'd be willing to spend a grand on it, maybe a little bit more. There is a few bits to sort out.
Hope that helps you mate, any questions, just ask.
