anyone tried a p11 interior in an n15

not something i was going to bother with but theres a p11 SE in my local scrappy with the full grey leather interior that seems pretty tidy and i dont really like the p1 si interior or the GTi one either but i wouldnt mind some leather.

what im thinking is the front seats seem to be pretty similar in shape so in theory the leather would come off the p11 seats and go on mine so the seats still come forward and the back seats could be used, not sure how easy that will be (or if its even possible) but they seem to be pretty similar. back seats could be the big problem, will have to measure them but i dont have a p11 to compare them with, shape needs to be right aswell as hopefully these would go in complete without having to recover my old seat.

can anyone see any potential problems with this? dont want to end up making a mess of it as tatty interiors which have obviously been retrimmed badly just look cheap and nasty. should get the seats cheap as its not a rip off scrappy like many are.

was thinking GTiR front seats as there pretty similar to the eGT shape and then get a leather eGT interior and recover the GTiR front seats and use the rear p10 seats if they fitted but that means buying 2 interiors which are likely to be expensive and could still turn out a complete mess at the end.

any help would be great, had a search and it doesnt look like anyone has tried this before

I was thinking of this! They would look much better IMO, definately worth a try, or if the scrappy's tries to charge you too much you can get primeras cheap on ebay - SR20 and spares and leather interior!

yer wouldnt mind getting one to break but primeras dont seem to make much when there sold as parts, almeras seem to make alot more money from what ive seen. be good for parts for the p10, can always cut up the shell with an angle grinder and take it the tip if the scrappy try and charge you to take it (remember reading about someone that did that with a car  )

will give them a ring tomorrow when i get home, im reckoning about £50 to £60, never been charged much at this place and the owner seems reasonable, cars been there a while aswell so hopefully hes happy to sell what he can off it before it gets crushed. was there yesterday and didnt think to ask for a price, broken glass all inside it but it doesnt look damaged at all and the leather seems pretty tough anyway.

If you can pick it up cheap-ish and you have the time to experiment then go for it. A freind and i have just completed the interior for our mk1 CRX track car, standard seats have been replaced with Cobra Daytona recliners mounted on VAUXHALL VECTRA SUBFRAMES!!!! The seats used to be in his vectra (until he saw the light) and were on a tight budget so we adapted them to fit. Fits like a glove now with full movement and a really good seating position. Anythings possible dude so go for it.

My mate is putting Escort Turbo seats, in his Corolla GTi track car.

Will get some pics soon, have been ripping all the interior out today.

The Primera GT seats are really chunky in comparesent to the GTi. Well mine are anyway, because they have side airbags.

I was tempted to see if the rear seats fitted as i alreadyhave the gti rear seats out so it wouldn't take much to give it a go. If i get some time i will try it and let you know.

that would be great jme, if they do then it wont be a problem with any luck.

the SE and GT seats are different, GT ones would be nice with them being much more supportive but the SE side bolsters and the ones on my SI seem pretty similar so they should make it easier to fit.

we used to have a p11 SE and i hated it so no doubt my mates will take the p*ss now im putting p11 SE seats in my car

the lad up here with the gti-r engine in has P12 leather interior with full electrics and works perfect, not a bolt in job but if you want to do something you can

Had a measure today and compared with our p10 the n15 rear seat is a good few inches narrower, p11 wont be much different and i dont fancy messing with leather interiors that much so im going to give this a miss. Not worth the bother unless the car was a long term project which it isnt.

will look into sunny gti interiors, si interior isnt supportive enough and the cloth feels cheap compared to the earlier nissans

Yup I have spoke to this guy a few times now, and been in the car aswell. He said the seats took him and another Nissan worker 2 weeks to fit them properly and get the electric working properly.
