are d2 drfit coilovers any gd

avoid them like a plague.

very poor quality coilovers. alot of blokes have problems with them blowing seals etc.

honestly spend the extra and get the teins.

iv actually driven a car with D2 coilovers on.. they were alright actually they stood up to my abuse for ages and are still going strong on someone elses car now... the only problem with the D2's and the Ksports like i keep saying are the spring rates are just to hard.. there awsome on smooth flowing roads b ut get to a bump and they carnt really deal wth them there abit harsh...

What Teins would you be after getting?
Super Street's?
Type Flex?
Mono Flex?

Might be able to save you some money.......

I think D2s are rebranded k-sports are they not? Quite a few members on here have them, like stufagti, kurt, simcard.

corbs, thats what i have heard on the pga forum aswell, but i think the k-sports are better quality, but built in the same factory.

If you ever saw my mates RB Impulse Skyline over at the Impulse Performance stand at JAE 2007 or his car when it was covered by Banzai in October would have seen he had the D2 coilovers installed on them with remote dampening adjustment. He has 650-700bhp on tap - so he puts them under a lot more stress than we ever would; he's never had any issues with them and in fact recommends them.

He'll be in MaxPower in April.

I could possibly get a discount on the said £699 retail price.
Looking at the .PDF Price list I assume you'd look under the B14 Sentra?

Jerrick has the External Nitrogen Reservoirs installed on all D2 coilovers.

However, since D2 don't list our car exactly; even under the "Pulsar" model: maybe reasons why fitting could be an issue. K-Sport had our car listed as a "Pulsar". Neither have the Almera mentioned.
Teins use the Pulsar label but the chassis numbers are: FN15, FNN15, EN15, JN15(VZR), HN15(GTi) and FN15. It would appear that the JN15 Tein coilovers were specifically developed for that vehicle. So probably the reason why they fit better? No idea which one you'd require though. Good luck!

from when i was looking into them k sport and D2 are built in the same factory to different designs, so in reality the only similarity is the place of manufacture apparantly. the reviews i found slated k sport, remember reading one were when they were tested on the appropriate machines each one of the 4 (so meant to go on the same car) compressed by different amounts under the same load so obviously not great, D2 are meant to be a hell of a lot better than that.

apparantly K sport are the cheaper of the 2 for a reason, and there were quite a few people in the USA that had k sports and soon got rid of them, but over here people seem to like them, i decided to go for d2 because there were alot less bad reviews around but maybe i missed some, and be prepared for a long wait if you decide to order some, im still waiting 3 months on.

thats quiet the other way around to what i have found.

the blokes hear in australia, wouldnt touch the D2's or K-sports with a 10ft barge pole, but the b15 sentra blokes rave about the K-sports, and bag out the D2's.

honestly, fork out the extra cash, and just get the TEINS. its well worth the extra money. having been in an n15 with the d2's, and another with the TEINS, i can tell you the teins is alot better of a ride. not as stiff, but with a quick adjustment, using the EDFC that can change.

just had another look around now, one bad review for D2's but seemed to be car specific, couldnt really fault the coilovers just they didnt fit the car too well, i dont have to worry about that because theres another p10 with them, so should be fine for me too. theres also an NSX forum with reviews after 12 months, still saying there as good as new etc, im going to take the chance and hope i dont regret it. seems like any other part, some people will rave about them and others wont, if i hate them then i have only got myself to blame but they get better overall reviews from what i have seen about k sports, although i can only ever remember reading 1 bad k sport review on here and there the most common coilovers on almeras.
