this one to be precise or would it be better to just get it chipped?

The Apexi piggy back units are deigned to allow you to adjust the fuelling (injector pulse width) at certain points across the rev range, if there is not enough demand for extra fuel its not worth doing.
Youre adjustable FPR is capable of delivering extra fuel pressure, but isnt as accurate and precise, but it offers a linear increase in fuel pressure (pressure rises as the revs increase) which is suited to NA engines.
The Apex units are more suited to turbo cars, where extra fuel is only required when the cars comes onto boost, allowing extra fuel to be injected at a particular engine speed.
Could be useful on NA cars though if you wanted to set the air/fuel ratios up perfect so they were spot on for the particular engine speed.
Hope that helps..
