argh.. not another hit and run

well woke up yesterday morning thinking to find my almera looking all shinny and clean beacuase i'd washed it the day before will as the title will suggest not. my near side rear quarter has been smashed in by another car just at my car park, now my question is can they be fixed or the whole rear quarter would have to be replaced? beacuse the almera's have really awkward rear quarters. it doesn't look too bad just happened slightly above the arche. Anyone had any previous experience with such? responses would be great. thanks. Tayo

Ask a bodyship to see if they will repair it. If not then I have a brand new rear quarter sitting in my garage, £140 from Nissan but never got it fitted. After £70 for it.

FFS Tayo!

Depends how bad it is really, as you could be lucky & pull/push it out.

But, if it`s where & as bad as I think it is, it`s not gonna be easy to get behind to push. :(

Pics asap please.

Feeling your pain buddy!

Pictures ar no good cos i use the one on my phone, taking it to the bodyshop tomorrow so fingers crossed. will keep you posted. Edit picture below not too good as it doesn't show its bent in

ouch :( hope its relatively easy to get fixed. When someone drove into the rear quarter of my b/f's car, instead of replacing the whole rear quarter, they cut the knackered section out and welded a new one in...blend it in, respray it etc and it looks as good as new. The repair cost the other guys insurance company £1500...but that included a new light cluster as well.

Inconsiderate fuckers! Do you know who it was?

Rear 1/4's are a bitch because they tend to involve a fair amount of labour in replacing. Your pic doesn't look too bad though.

Rear quarter is definitely the worst panel to have damaged, as most other panels can simply be changed.
Hope the bill's not too excessive for you mate :)

On the 2nd day we bought our mera someone failed to give way and drove into our rear quarter, we got the car valued at £1000+ repair surprisingly the insurance company went through with it!
