Back from the body shop

Got the mera back yesterday and im well chuffed.:D
it was sent in to have the front wings, front bumper, wing mirror covers, drivers door and most importantly the rear aches done.
And it all looks like new, only prob now being is the rest of the car looks a bit tired lol, so ill be cutting and polishing it up over the next weekend or two in between moving house.
Ill get some pics up when i can.
 
Yeah defo, the paintwork was the worse part as someone had done a DIY job on the rear arches before i bought it and it looked crap but now its all shiney :D
I was quoted £450 but in the end it was £490 all in, the only thing that they missed which i asked to be done is theres a spot on the drivers door near the handle that looks like someone has left bird crap to eat in to the paint work along time ago, its hardly noticeable, but i know its there and i draws my eye every time i get in the car, plus the few stone chips on the bonnet now stand out even more so it might go back in at some point to have that done, thing is i think you get to a point where you have to stop or you might as well have a full respray lol.

I did a quik update a while back fella on the original thread, basically saying that i chose to hold back due to moving out, and said that i would try and come up with the cash but not to hold out for me.
Dad put the car on piston heads at 7pm and it was driven away by a trader from london by 11pm the same night!:eek:
Power of the net eh!

So yeah now im trying to save more and will be hunting for either a modded pulsar GTiR or a standard S14a, but as and when this will be will be depending on finances.
Tbh now the mera is looking lush im not in much of a hurry.:cool:

Shes lookin fairly sweet mate, just bought a ph1 GTi da other day im lucky though, there isnt a spot of rust on it..... the only problem is the front bumper is fairly rough. Does anyone on this know of any websites where i could pick one up????

Your just down the road from me, just wondered who you got to do the work? I have 2 front wings at the ready and a new front piece (not sure if it needs doing but i thought i'd beat the rust befire it get a chance :P ) also what the rear arch done as one is just showing signs of rust.
Probably go for a full respray. My problem is finding someone i trust to do the work, been had by to many cowboys in the past:mad:
