Beesting Aerial for P1?

I hate the crappy aerial on the p1, im on my second one now and it wont retract no matter how much WD40 i spray on it - so its a 'snap me off' magnet!

Can I get a bee sting one for it? I dont mean one of the poncy chrome or stainless ones off ebay. I mean a standard looking black beesting. Im guessing the p1/2 aerials fit differently. The p1 has a plug that slides into a plastic jacket which connects it to the cars aerial lead.

One of you must know of one that will fit or have changed a standard one for a beesting? :cool:
 
the aeriel may be of a diffrent cut-out shape on the roof. if i remember right its square, and if you pop the roof lining down at the back (obvious thats not were yours is) you screw a round nut that pulls it all together, then plug it in
 
i put one at the back of the car like the phase 2 has, coz my phase 1 one didnt work to

i soooooo hated that ugly looking P1 arial so i got mine blanked of by the body shop and fitted an internal powered one behind my rear view mirror, the reception was great ! :)

Now that is a good idea, when get arches and paint done might slap that on the list as well! where did you get an internal one? Just Halfrauds or ebay isit?
 
I love my P1 Arial because There Chav proof they cant nick mine but a beesting one they just unscrew!!!

Hardly Chav Proof, instead of just nicking it they snap it off :( Not happened to me yet, but you can be sure if I leave it about in rochdale/salford long enough it will happen.

Yeah i used to do that as well but my first one got snapped off. Bought this one off a club member but its bent and stuck fully up :roll: looks cack but at least got working radio
