best place/way to have wheel arch replaced

Hello everyone,

I've driven my N15 against a wall light and the left front wheel arch seems badly damaged. I'd imagine that it would need to be replaced. This is the first time ever I'm having to deal with such damage to the body, so I have not much of an idea how to best get the job done.

In the past Nissan dealers seemed way more expensive than others, and it's a relatively old car, so I'd like to use someone else. What's the most cost effective way to go about it? I guess my regular mechanic wouldn't do it correct?

Where should I start, and how much is it likely to cost? Also, where do I find the paint code for my N15 (I imagine this would be needed)?

In case you have any specific recommendations, we live in east London (E16).

Many tanks!

Sounds like your best bet would be to find a front wing in the same colour and just replace it, as it is only bolted on anyway.

Have look on eBay and in scrapyards.

Thank you for the reply. This undoubtedly sounds like the cheapest solution.

Just wonder what sort of person/company to look for if I would want someone professional do it for me. Am I right in thinking that a normal mechanic wouldn't be the right person?

Replacing a front bolt on wing is very easy. Any competent mech would be able to do it. I and many others here can also do it.

Try and find a local bodyshop and get a quote from them. It shouldn't take more than an hour and a half so you should only be looking at £60 labour maybe. These are simple enough to bolt on/off though. No members near you fancy a challenge. I'd do it for you but you're a bit far away.
