bigger engine question

Cost of repairs of anything is dependant on how easy you can source the parts. Then to fix problem. Thing is, with the GTI the SR20DE engines are nuclear bomb proof!! they'll take a good hammering and still run. So really not much can go wrong as long as you reg oil change, not rev balls off it when cold etc.

lol she just wants you to get a 1.4 instead of anything bigger as insurance will be high for young drivers. cost me 1260 for a 1.4 and it was over 4k for a Gti lol

you can't really say if its reliable or not its all about luck and treating the car well.

Just noticed where ya from.....off topic like but I got my car from your ends. Was trek n half from preston but well worth it

you will also be suprised to know aswell, the GTI SR20DE engine will be surprisingly good on fuel when driven properly. i have the same engine in my primera and i get better milage that what i do with the 1.6 engines.

dont be afraid to travel to get the right car, Ive driven countless miles to look at and buy cars, chuck a mate some petrol money to give you a lift to go see it, then you can drive it back........
