hey there! been browsing this site for a little while now so i thought its rude not to introduce myself and my car trusty! bought as a workhorse was starting own business any road that went under now im doing odd job work. anyway the car! bought it on ebay 2yrs ago starts all the time everytime now im being honest always thought sumthin better was going to come along so the car suffered at my hands:( well not anymore i was gonna scrap it but for a 1.4 it puts a smile on my face not performance but i love the way it goes round them corners! right now im changing cv joints discs pads back box etc will put pics up soon anyways cool site:D
 
thanks was lookin at your gti earlier nice! been looking for one but only pay £26 a month to insure this so im being mean to myself! for now:O

I just spied on his there to see what it looked like! I must say, it's very nice! Love how he got a bit technical in one of the pictures, I got lost looking at it haha!

cheers for the welcome! yeah will stick pics up soon! like i said i neglected the car so its down to bare bones. been doing a lot of work to get it ready for mot so as soon as its back on the ground il sort it
 
sorry guys im back(abysinth) but under a new name i went to the dark side and bought french!! never again however iv got me a lil gti 98 r reg loads of miles on the clock but starts first time every time lowered 40 mm and arches need work but are still present and in one piece pics to be uploaded as soon as i get 5 mins
 
cheers. again arches need work but they are in one piece, rides probably a bit too hard for my liking at the mo but i had a megane coupe before this so not having to crouch to see out the windscreen is a blessing il be posting up pics as i go first thing to do is service and discs and pads all round
 
quick question ;) any1 know the part number for a starter motor on this? the work begins!! pay days around the corner so iv got all my service parts ready and im getting a new(ish) full exhaust system after that its callipers, discs and pads
 
well its been an interesting few days. starter motor decided it had had enough and was not going to work anymore:eek: . ecp quoted me 160 managed to get a 2nd hand one for 40 quid so iv sorted that took me roughly half an hour to get it in and out next job full stainless steel exhaust and back discs:Thumbs:
 
hello mate i swapped a micra for a almera sri well pleased with it but due to a school boy error i put a hole through the gearbox and nearly scrapped it for a gti i bidded on and lost over 10 quid but because the sri only done 39k genuine i soldiered through and finished my fuck up now im almera hooked and love posting on this forum i always get a reply from the veterans on this site whether good or bad!
 
Tbh its not in the greatest of nick but i kinda had an idea of what to look out for after owning one previously. Both myself and my brother are trained mechanics so weve tackled most jobs before so between us it should see enough tlc to keep it where it needs to be.
