Alright,

Ive eventually got my car. Its not the 1.4 Ive gone for a GTi but its off the road until my other car sells. Turns out it has a Powerflow full SS system and air cone of some sort. On the way back the stereo turned itself off and I thought it was gonna be the start of worse to come but it wasnt. 150 mile trip back and it ran like it should.

Needs a new tyre (was provided with car) :cool:
Handbrake seeing too, just pulls straight up. Clicks far too many times.
Clutch might need changing - biting point at the very top although dont think its slipping. When I gave it a bit it was hard as it was at top but will see.

Windows little sticky or something. I know they hold in the middle to can rock but this was more on the way down it stuck slightly but didnt stop.

The blowers only work on one speed - full.
This is where im stuck right now. How can you sort it so all settings work? Hot/Cold/Directional all ok, just speed. Is it a big job?

Got it for £500 and been stood for a month or so so ready to work on it!
 
Right, full speed blowers is just a faulty resistor card located under the passenger side glove box. £30 for new from Nissan.

Handbrake - sounds like new cables are neeeded.

Windows - you dont really explain clearly whats wrong, read it again then try and make it clearer. To me it sounds like your pushing the button all the way down for the auto function :D

Stereo might have a loose connection.

clutch sounds like its on its last legs but clutch cable can be adjusted.

Finally, the fuck is that thing in your avatar?

Right, when i press for auto it kinda staggers twice on way down. Think might need lubricant or something?

Might try adjustment until i uprate the clutch

Just looking back at what Im after for the heaters and saw your post, cheeky b*****d! Its no where near a scrappers for a while yet. :P

As for the GTi, yeah some major work. Parts are building up slowly. Needs to be ready for mid-March so going to have to get into it a bit now. We'll see how it goes. Did want power but considering what can be achieved n/a, deciding to leave most of it until maybe this time next year to do something swap wise with it but see how it goes first.
