Boot Smoothed

I just booked the car into get the body kit and exhaust fitted on tuesday week and forgot to ask bout smoothening the boot, it looks sweet on the pics of the bodykit i posted on the members rides area,

Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much this would cost or if any of ye think it is worth it (i.e. looks decent)?????????????????

I am also needing to buyin wheels in the next 2 months and i need suggestions, look at my pics and tell me what you think (sizes aswell)!!!

Any more modding ideas you have please tell me, i just ordered clear side repeaters there!

when i got mine done i got quoted 200, so i did it myself and it looks the nuts. just went a plate over the gap and fill it with expending foam so that the sheet doesnt wobble about when ya driven, try to shape the metal as best ya can aswell so that you dont have to use shit loads of filler to set the shape. it is well worth it, looks much better, on the n15 and the n16. go for it!!!

Problem is when you smooth the N16 boot, How you gonna open it?

N15 dosen't have this problem as it has a lever to put the boot but the N16 has a handle on the boot, which you will smooth over.

Let me know your solution, if you go ahead with it

most people use a solenoid to get round that
have a little button in the car

another possible solution would be to remove the rear wiper and use the wire from there to connect to a lever in the front.... easy for a garage to do! Got quoted a little over £300 for mine but they are a top notch bodyshop!

you still have the internal boot lever anyway if you smooth it over - you normally have the car open if you got the boot open anyway. you could always use an remote electronic solenoid if you wanted to be a pimp
