Brake Caliper Cleaning

Yes i have done a search and yes i did find a section on this but it didnt really go into as much detail as i need.

Firstly my calipers are painted already but i've just bought a brand new one on the right rear because the original was playing up. I'm now left with one caliper unpainted and 3 painted bright red!

I would like to know firstly what paint to use? Do i have to get a high temperature one? I can get these from a supplier at work but only in spray form and i would rather use a hand paint.

Also is it possible to paint them without removing the brake line because i dont want to have to get into bleeding them and all that rubbish.

I use hammerite paint, you can always spray the colour of your car over the top of the hammerite and laquer it as well. you dont have to remove the caliper, just tape parts off and put newspaper up around the suspension etc to prevent it getting sprayed

thanks lads- duno why the thread say- Brake Caliper Cleaning- dont remeber putting that! Thats not what i want anyway- i no how to clean a bloody brake caliper!

Its painting info i'm after- anyone else with further tips?

Just used normal hammerite mate and my 300ZX turbo, my bro's S13 200sx and his Micra. No probs at all apart from when you scratch it off with the wheels! DOH!

i used halfords heat proof paint on the almera, that never peeled etc and looked as fresh as when it was painted 6 months later despite alot of hard driving, would get brake fade alot in that car so the brakes werent cool but the paint was never effected at all.
