Brake discs

Right just took my car to the garage to have my brake discs replaced with a drilled and grooved ebc brakes disc, however the garage rang me yesterday saying they are 15mm shorter than the original/standard ones, the bloke i got the disc off had the same brake disc on his SRi however his was a five door being an sri i assumed they would fit mine nevertheless, so im here asking if they differ in sizes? lol thanks

i doubt it as if you try to fit bigger discs to the phase 1 calipers they may foul on the calipers, also smaller discs on phase 2 calipers would make the pads overhang the edge of the disc.

hmmm if youve got your chasis number handy someone could check the part numbers on FAST of the calipers between a phase 1 and phase 2 car

a few sites i have looked at lately have said the brake discs are the same from 95 - 00. but i know for a fact that phil has 232 and i have 247mm discs... so maybe its not a phase difference... anyone got any any suggestions of why some almera's have 232mm brakes under 13" wheels and some have 247 under 14" wheels?

In my Apec book, its says almera 95-00 247mm, and 18mm thick
and it also says 96-00 257mm and 26mm thick.
but the overall height of them both is 45.2mm so i dont no what that means...

this is what my almera has

and this is what it should have according to most sites
