Brake hose - pipe question

Hello, my car has just failed its MOT with the following
Vin Starting: sjneaan16U039****
Offside rear (to rear flex) brake pipe excessively corroded(3.6.B.2c)

is it just the flexy hose or that and the pipe i'd need to replace?

I have no problem attempting to fix this myself but when I went to order the part from the shop(a big european car parts company) I was advised that because of 'where' my car was made the part would not fit

I'd just like to know if this bull**** as it sounds like it

Cheers

If you have rear drum brakes it will just be a short run of hard pipe that needs replaced between the flexi and the wheel cylinder for the brakes.

Not a part you can buy off the shelf really cause most mechanics would just make one for pipe and fittings

Cheers mate, I do have drum brakes, any idea what I should be looking for to get it replaced? I also failed on CO emissions at natural idle only and think that maybe the lambda was damaged when the garage put a new exhaust on so I would like to keep it all under £200 :)
