Brakes errr wich one

Howdy folks,

My almera gti n15 needs new discs and pads but i am unsure about the braking system as there are 2.

the 2 types are AKE and SUM. What system, if it is possible to tell from year etc, should i be looking at? Any help is appreciated.

They mean Akebono or Sumitomo (I think!)

IIRC one has the anti-rattle clip on the pad and one doesn't, but I could be way off the mark. I'm sure someone knows the main difference.

yeah the names u got is right just not sure wich one i need. will either do does any one know?
 
Well the first set of pads that i removed from my car did not have the anti-rattle clip on them. But when ive had work done at garage they have put pads in which do have the clip i dont think it matters that much. But maybe thats just me!

i got the ake system pads and was cursing like a bastard for it yesterday lol turns out they are hugely different. doh
