Slotted/grooved/dimpled don`t really do much apart from look nice and wear your pads out quicker.....oh and they cost alot.

i hate standerd discs on my car therye shit! the braking response from high speed is poor!

That's where Yellow Stuff pads will come in. Response will be a lot better then. No need to fork out for new disks when the pads will do the job. Esp. in a 1.4.

Standard discs, EBC Yellowstuff pads, 5.1 fluid, goodridge hoses.

Id fucking well hope so! At 70k Id estimate on average, that it should be on its 3rd set of discs.

thing is ive just found mintex discs and pads for £70 ! rather than the 30+vat 4 dicss and 40+pads!

modern brake disks and uprated pads are more than adequate for street use.

buy uprated discs if you wanna be silly

they ain't uprated thats why. bet if you looked up mintex you would find they are oem specification

I changed the discs and pads on my 1.4 with OEM stuff and it made a huge difference.
