Brakes

Almera GTi disc size 256mm

Primera P11 disc came with 257mm or 280mm dependind on model. if you have 257mm disc's then use a P11 GT or N16 (ABS) caliper and disc and you got yourself a upgrade.

well I did say

the P11 disc came in 2 types 257 and 280mm and the almera GTi one is 256mm!

so he wants to put the P11 brakes on his N15

lol, let me clarify.

I currently have a Primera P11 GT - I use now.
My old car i am breaking is a P11 GX - And the engine is a 2.0 model.
My other half has an N15 and might be looking to upgrade the brakes.

LOL at above confusion from Daz

To clarify Primera P10/P11 and N16 is 4x114.3 PCD.

P11's with ABS had 280mm discs, regardless of GT trim or not I believe as we found out some people with SRi's and GX had 280mm and used the same pads. It was deduced that it was because they had ABS.

If you're looking for N16 brakes on an N15 then PGA is the place to look as many of the N15 owners over there upgrade to N16 brakes. So they know the way to do it :)

Hope that helps.

what you could do is bolt on a P11 caliper if its the 280mm version and drill the disc? but if you have the hubs you might want to convert it

Sorry Darren but I can't help but find the irony of you giving advise about drilling discs to fit...

Nuurr.. we use the N16 hubs, throw the calipers in the bin and then fit S15/300zx/R33 brakes.

It's the caliper mounts on the hub that is the tricky thing there. N16s are different to N15s that way.

N15 GTi comes standard with AD22VF calipers which are really quite good. Get some decent fluid and pads and they will be excellent.

get some fto twin pot calipers and clio 182 discs off ebay ;)

i don't rate the standard brakes at all, even with decent fluid and pads tbh, not mine anyway, although my calipers may be a little tired

in that case do you use the N16 disc then or ?

I really want to test that still use almera tino spindal on a N16 hub and then bolt on the R33 GTST or R32 GTR caliper and run R32 or R33 GTST Discs'

Ah sorry I misunderstood what was happening there! You mean the knuckle you're changing over or both hub and knuckle?

this has spiralled way off topic. the lad asked will Primera GX calipers fit the N15GTi

answer we have established. - NO

darren. you have a 25 page thread on your brake upgrade. go spam that up with you considerations and ideas...
