i dont see why not, its made for a 54C block (GTiR) and i know the starter is mounted different for easy access, but a 54C block and 53J block have pretty much the same bolt pattern except for the bit where the transfer case needs to clear

not wthout the entire shifting assembly.. which if you look at the almera rally car goes straight through the dash. the touring drive shafts which fit the touring car hubs.. whih only work with the complete rose jointed and re designed front suspention. then theres the problem that the engine doesnt sit anywhere close to standard so nothing would line up.. but yeah it would in theory bolt to the block..

That is a lush primera, i remember racing that one above in toca touring cars on ps1 lol. Looks a bit like a rich mans toy lol and im not a rich man :/

then theres the problem that the engine doesnt sit anywhere close to standard so nothing would line up.. but yeah it would in theory bolt to the block..

the early cars use the upright engine position, so the gearbox would fit with a standard engine if you wanted, we still have the cars as my old man has decided to buy me out of my share, hopefully we'll get one built up at some point, probably with a ve engine and go from there.

and your right when you say these are rich man's toys, thats why we had to buy these in parts!!

cheers

what about the shafts as there those 6 bolt flang quick change things arnt they on the gearbox and hub ends? iv only seen pics like bu they look nothing like normal ones :(

yeah but those motorsport cv joints are easy enough to come by. not as complicated as you might think.
