Buying a Tino

Hi everyone - greetings from sunny North Yorkshire!

Apologies in advance if this has been posted already - I did a quick search, but couldn't see anything on the forum (although the boss says if you need to find something, get a woman to do it!).

The 'boss' - aka my partner - wants me to take her to have a look at a second hand Tino tomorrow for a runaround for her. At the moment I know nothing about the vehicle, except it's a '52 plate, and the MOT has recently expired. Asking price is £250, mileage is 94,000 and it looks clean in the photo.

I've googled buying a s/h one, and what to look out for. The only things I can find are a noisy clutch, rusting front cross member and faulty engine management light.

Is there anything else that I should be looking out for? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

ho mate your right with the front cross member order one now as it is an MOT failure (if too corroded) as the front engine mount attatches to this and it will get worse, cheap on Ebay. the clutch could be the thrust bearing get a new clutch kit, have a good look underneath for any other rust. Make sure the headlights are not too foggy as again MOT failure. Good luck
