Buying Almera

Hi All...... i'm new here


just need some advice please as I'm considering buying an Almera hatchback for my daughter...the model is sr year 2002....... on doing some history check i see there were some recalls since 2002... is it possible for me to check if this was required on the car i'm considering buying? is there an easy way to check this without trying to track down previous owners? any advice/help would be very much appreciated...

give nissan a ring if it has been done they should have record of it

Thanx TheSam..... just to narrow it down a bit... what info would nissan require to know if it was done? or if it needs doing?would they require chassis no. or engine no?

Not so much a recall thing I suppose but there are 'common issues' with the N16 of which I think I've had all of them Just a quick check and you shouldn't be bitten hard.

Rust along bottom of rear window.
Rust along front crossmember.
Cam/crank sensors and if not been replaced - timing chain.
Rear Brake calipers.
Handbrake.
Rear heated windscreen.
Whine from gearbox as they apparently are prone to going.

That's probably all the common faults with the N16.
