Can you help

Hey all,
Was wondering if you could help at all. Im not the most knowledgable, with regard to cars. Could anyone kindly post a picture/photo of where I can find the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor?

Thanks !!

No, I have been told that mine needs replacing but I want to do the work myself (not sure that its a good idea!!). I have been told that it is a 5-10 minute job, and want to start learning in a small way !!
What are these ebay chips then?

Sorry, no pictures but I do know that in some Phase 1 N16s the IAT sensor is plugged into the pipe that leads into the air filter box (on the 'dirty air' side of the airbox, not the engine side). In others it's built into the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) which is in the housing connected to the airbox on the engine side.

If you have a phase 1 N16 (2000-2003 version) with a sensor plugged into the feed pipe for the airbox that's your IAT sensor, if not it's in the MAF. (That's assuming you have a phase 1 N16).

They are a scam basically haha
A 5p resistor sold for £5 on ebay, don't actually do anything!
Basically just make you to unplug your MAF sensor for no reason!
