Can't decide between these...

Ello, time has come for me to get more power. Need a bulletproof and ofc idiotproof HP gain so I'm deciding between these:

1. Sell my Si for about 2k euro...no joke :D and buy a GTi for about 3k euro....yeah no joke :D

2. Sell my Si and buy a Primera GT 1997 for 3k.

3. Sell my Si and buy a older Primera GT for 1k.

4. Keep my Si and buy a old Primera GT for showing off :P

5. Keep my Si and quit whining :D

I'm more into buying a GTi cuz I'm used to the meras and all, but if I'd buy a old primera I could break it into pieces and do a whole makeover. It's either buy and sell or...buy another...I need a car to go to work so having none is out of the question.

Help meh with my dillema....pretty please  oh and if you could compare between primeras and almeras, drivability and all that.

Cheers.

P.S.: Don't question the prices....they are real. :rasp:

Yea well I'm checking some GTi's and well I'm pissed....only 3 are in our biggest online car sale....WTF....shitty Slovakian cheapskates bought only 1.4's which is overwhelmed here...I already can see how I'll sell mine . Oh well still open to other ideas...:P

biased answers expected here, but GTi is the only correct answer ;)

a GT is just slower and a bit bigger, do you need that size? mera's quite big anyway. so prob not

I'm happy with the size of the mera....I was like  when I found out it has over 4 metres.
And don't need 4 doors...It's just me, myself and Almera :D
Just that the GT's are more available, but if theyre slower then screw them :P
Mera is fine and always loved the SR's, it unsuspicious and everyone thinks it's crap...gotta love it :D
My last thought...how can you compare a GA14DE to a SR20DE....I mean...I have never sat in a GTi....can't imagine the power :P

Stock a 1.4 will gather speed when you open the throttle. A GTi will pin you to the back of the seat until you get banned for driving over 100 :D

Agreed! Got to drive mine back from the test station the other day and it felt good, even with major clutch slip! lol

Go GTi, plus anything you have on your Si you can transfer over that you like.

Oh and its the same here with lack of GTi's around for sale.

Sounds good...even the getting banned thing :D

I think there will be some issues about that swap stuff thing, dunno if smbdy will bother...they need $$$ :D
But would be sweet to get a GTi, hopefully Ill make it till june. If not then Ill start thinking about a SR swap, but I dont really want to go through that, too complicated.

btw...the GTi SR is as 143PS...and the GT SR is about 150PS.....where is the difference....and is it interchangeable?

Its not true. The GT engine does make slightly more power due top having no precat in the manifold, but the actual 150 figure was carried over from the eGT which had a highport engine. GT and GTi engines are the same.
