carbon fibre bonnet?

This is another really tricky one for all of you. any one found any where that creates carbon fibre bonnets for the beloved almera N15?? really think the black almeras suit them. :D

Any help would be apperciated. :)

How do CF bonnets react in a bump?....do they reduce the strength of the car?.....would your insurance be valid?.....I know some cars come with plastic panels/bonnets OE but they are designed for this.

you need to be a member, ther are bonnets being made but its in the members section, so join for £15 to make savings

they shatter, I dont think it would matter that much as the bonnet's designed to fold easy so it doesnt do a old capri trick and de-capitate the people in the front seats
You have to declare them to your insurance company.

i think it depends on the quality of the weave tbh mate the f1 cars became a lot better under crashes when they changed to carbon fiber but they have a very high quailty carbon fiber. can remember going on a school trip to the factory where some of the stuff is made and its really strong stuff.
as with most things think you get what you pay for as for the insurance im sure they would screw you over on it.

thanks guys and gals. really think my sri would suit one. plus dobo i think i have heard bout the weave. ive heard kevlar is the same, just by changing the weave it can become upto 50% stronger!!!!! thanks for the advice.
