CD Headunit problems

hi everyone!

just got an 03 plate Almera which i'm really happy with, but the CD player has a CD jammed inside it.

is this a common problem? any ideas how to get the disc out? i cant see any obvious method of removing the head unit from the dash

any advice greatfully received

from the amount of replys on a post from september what do ye reckon................
 
i'v got a 02 plate one and had no bother with mine. if you want to take the cd player out and its the same shape as mine (the 1st n16's) then you pop the lil storage compartment above the blowers then grab the front and pull that will pop off and then the lil hook in the passenger foot well on the center console, put ya finger in the hole and pull it and the bottom part will come off, then you undo the 4 or 6 screws and thats it, its out! simple. but if its the newer shape i dont have a clue mate.
