central locking wire colours

Hello,

would anyone know the central locking wire colours for lock and unlock on a n15 GTI (1999)? Any thoughts would be most appreciated, I had a search around the site and found some advice about fitting aftermarket locking kits but I can't find anything that details the wire colours...Cheers!
 
Do you mean at the door motors or the control unit ? If you mean the door motors then on a gti they are a copper track rather than wires so i guess you need pin numbers rather than colours.
If you have the doors apart then you could always stick a meter or bulb on it and operate the locks and see what one gives a reading.
 
Yes, I mean the central locking control unit...I'm buying an aftermarket remote central locking kit and I'm figuring out the lock and unlock wires at the control unit. any ideas?
